Dave originally came from an engineering background. He worked in experimental engineering in the motor industry and also in precision grinding; both areas have proved useful to guitar building. He has always enjoyed the guitar and after playing for many years began building approximately 10 years ago. During the building of his first guitar he soon knew that he would not stop at one, and he has been producing fine instruments ever since. He is now one of the best Australian makers. His instruments are latticed braced, with vaulted back, good neck profile and excellent separation of strings that makes them easy to play.
